Zap N Trap's 26W stainless steel insect trap and bug zapper is an effective and chemical-free option for supermarkets, farmers markets, warehouses, and office buildings. This indoor bug zapper can protect approximately 1150 sq. ft. and will keep your establishment clean, sanitary, and bug-free. Its removable plug and stainless steel housing make for easy cleaning, and a built-in micro switch also allows you to safely change bulbs. This unit is not designed or recommended for use in food prep areas.

For best results, do not place the zapper in an area with bright lighting, like near large windows, as other light sources will draw the bugs' attention.

Removable Collection Tray

This bug zapper comes with a removable collection tray for easy, no-mess disposal of bug remains. This eliminates an unsightly buildup of bug remains on your floor or counter and keeps your establishment clean, sanitary, and bug-free!

Protective Tray Lock

In addition to making this insect zapper easier to maintain, the removable collection tray also acts as a safety feature by preventing the unit from being turned on until it is locked in place. This will keep you and your employees safe when you empty the zapper's contents.

Space-Efficient Design

Because it measures a mere 14 1/2" x 5" x 11", this space-saving insect zapper is perfect for tight locations. Its slim design allows you to easily mount it to any wall, therefore conserving valuable space in your business. This unit should be emptied and cleaned every 1-3 weeks (see instructions for maintenance tips).

Efficient Bulbs

Plus, each bulb contains a chemical coating that maximizes the amount of UV light it transmits. To maintain the bulb's coating and the trap's optimum effectiveness, replace bulbs every 9-12 months, ideally at the beginning of Spring.

Large Coverage Area

This unit provides insect control over an average 1150 sq. ft. area in your store, warehouse, or office. This coverage area may vary depending on the layout of your room, how often the door is open, how much traffic the area receives, and the number of insects in the area. It features a maximum range of 10,000 ft., depending on how and where it is deployed.

Can this insect trap be used in a barn?

According to the manufacturer, this insect trap is for indoor settings. However, the manufacturer does not recommend using it in a setting like a barn due to the dry atmosphere, hay, and straw.

Is this bug zapper / light trap a good fit for the space I have?

Most bug zappers and light traps list a coverage area in square footage, which can serve as a good guideline, but it’s also important to think about placement. The best way to maximize the effectiveness of your unit is to set the trap strategically in a highly visible location so that the light can be seen from multiple angles.

I removed the collection tray for cleaning and now the unit won't turn back on. Is it broken?

There is a microswitch on each unit that automatically switches to “off” when the tray is removed for cleaning. This switch is located in the sideboard, near the tray. Check to make sure that when the tray is put back in, the microswitch is not still in the “off” position. If it is, switch it back to "on" and the unit should resume its normal function.
