These do the job pretty well. We have one in our catering kitchen and at our restaurant, and have to replace the bulbs every six months or so. I think flies are just a problem no matter what, and we try to do anything we can to mitigate them.
THIS WORKS LIKE A GEM! Forget the fly strips and spraying the doorways and door frames every night! This is all you need in a kitchen to eliminate flying insect issues!

I have had them about 2 weeks now and seem to be working fine. Instal was easy just needed to take off 4 screws and replace and put back together, took maybe 5 min.
We've been really happy with this set up - the bulbs are easy to change out, and work well, but only seem to last about 4-5 months - maybe that's the lifespan, but seems a bit on the short side - the reason for 4 stars.
This uv bulb is a great price and works great. Fits and works just like the one that came with the zap n trap. Will buy again.
