We love it !
This little fryer was purchased to take the place of a Wells fryer because we weren't in the position to buy another Wells. It keeps up with the pace but it's no Wells. The fry baskets that come with it weren't designed very well- fries constantly fall out of the bottom and into the oil. Also if you pull the fry baskets out and don't set them on the lip perfectly you'll get oil all over the sides of the fryer. It might work really well for people who don't know any better but I'll only ever buy another one if I absolutely have to.
We bought this in December 2015. We used this fryer on a daily basis for medium cycles (50-60 fried dishes daily). It worked well but could have lasted longer. A year ago the oil drain faucet started dripping oil when shut. It was annoying but we put a small cup under and cleaned around frequently and kept on. Yesterday the thermostat died, making the unit useless as it won’t heat up oil. Overall the fryer gave us a decent run for nearly 3 years but I wished it lasted longer.
We have been using this fryer for several months now. It is a workhorse. Mostly used for bone in chicken, and meat fritters. Easy to clean. Will be buying another one. Highly recommend.
Amazing. Paired this item with the Vollrath 40719 Cayenne 18" gas countertop griddle on a stainless steel table. Was skeptical to purchase at first considering I could not find many reviews online about this product. I thought that for the price it was an amazing deal, but sometimes that turns out to be disappointing. I was totally proven wrong. We have a restaurant with a seating capacity of 100 total, and we're easily able to use this fryer for appetizers, garnishes, and specials. Used it for frying fritters, vegetables, french fries, chicken, and even donuts. The recovery time is better than expected. I would not recommend this for a burger joint or an operation with a menu that is more than 25% fried foods, but if you're looking to just have fun, you'll love this piece of equipment!
