These cooling paddles are a great way to rapidly cool soups and other foods that can't go into a blast chiller, especially in taller stock pots and large batches. Their smooth exterior makes it easy to remove foods to reduce waste, while also ensuring the paddles are easy to clean and sanitize. For best results, do not use in temperatures greater than 195 degrees Fahrenheit or less than -20 degrees Fahrenheit. When filling with ice and water it is recommend to fill the units entirely (past max fill) with ice, then add cold water to fill in the voids around the ice cubes.

How to Use
Easily fill the wide mouths with water and freeze upright, then place in your piping hot foods while stirring for 3-5 minutes to rapidly bring them out of the temperature danger zone. Refrigerate your foods with the paddles inside and check the temperature every 20 minutes with a thermometer. Once cooled to 41 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the paddles and store your foods until ready for service. To avoid spills and messes, you can use a food safe plastic bag with this paddle while storing it or chilling it in the fridge.
Convenient Freezing Solution
The mouth on this paddle is large enough to fill with ice cubes so you have an easy cooling solution even if you forget to fill and freeze the paddle overnight. For rapid cooling, simply fill the product with ice above the max fill line, and fill with water to the max fill line. The paddle can then be used instantly. Why is my cooling paddle cracking?
Cooling paddles will eventually break over time due to nature of rapid heating and cooling, but to extend the life, do not pour past the max fill line or exceed temperature recommendations.

The Vigor Polar Paddle (4L) has worked great for us! It is very helpful when cooling down liquids to reach safe storage temperatures. The wide opening makes it easy to fill with cubed ice so there is no waiting on water to freeze before use. Great product!
Works great to cool down soups and sauces that need to get refrigerated ASAP. It's large so works best for larger quantities. Easy to store. We just stick it in the corner of our walk in freezer and then it's ready for the next time we need it!
Thick plastic so it doesn't break and helps cool down the product quickly! Lid stays on tightly and is compact so it doesn't take up too much space!
