Their smooth exterior makes it easy to remove foods to reduce waste, while also ensuring the paddles are easy to clean and sanitize. For best results, do not use in temperatures greater than 195 degrees Fahrenheit or less than -20 degrees Fahrenheit. To preserve the life of your paddles, fill with ice and water and use immediately. It is recommended to fill the units entirely with ice, then add cold water at or below the max fill line to fill in the voids around the ice cubes. If you want to freeze your paddles ahead of time, fill the paddles with water at or below the max fill line, and NEVER exceed the line. Place the paddles in the freezer on their sides to allow for optimal space for the water to expand. Once frozen using either method, the product can be used to bring the food temperature through the temperature danger zone (41 degrees F - 135 degrees F).

We have very limited freezer space. With this product we are able to fill with ice and use to rapid cool broth.
Thought these were great idea but within first 3 mos one broke inside a batch of sauce and the second one cracked shortly thereafter.

These paddles are very cheaply made. They crack so easily. I have used plenty of cooling wands before and these are the worst we have replaced them a few times already but this time we are going with another brand.

Thought my staff was mishandling them until I found out it was me that bought junk paddles...not worth it and quite annoying/dissapointing that Webstaurant would have these in their selection...

Junk! I bought 4 of these to keep cold brew coffee cold throughout the day. I filled to the indicated line and 2 cracked by the 3rd Dan and the other 2 only lasted a week. I will have to find another solution as I had thought these were better quality.

Perfect for what we need!
Good product
Really wanted to like these, but as others have said they will crack. even tried to fill the latest two well below the fill line and the same result. We only got about 3 weeks out of one and 5 from the other.

Extremely disappointed. While these could be great, both of these paddles suffered damage for no reason after a few uses. I take care of my equipment and of these 2 paddles, one of them cracked and the other no longer closes due to an issue with the lid lining.

Cracked within about 2 weeks of use. The quality of the plastic is obviously terrible given other similar reviews and that this appears to be a common problem. Don't waste your money.

Waste of money. I had previously purchased the 'hotel pan' version and it burst. Assuming that my staff did something wrong, I purchased this one and have been the only one using it, never passing the 'fill line' and never allowing it to fall. It still broke. I am not even sure what to do next but I am very unhappy.

they all breaks even I fill the water at the max line and not go over it. I have thrown about 8-10 of them away because they break after few uses. That is $ down the drain.

There is a defect with this product where the lid is not able to be fully screwed on tight so there is always water leaking out of the side of the lid. This makes it very difficult to use as a cooling paddle if you are putting water in and then freezing it. Most freezers do not have the space to put this upright while freezing so there will be water leaking out which makes a mess in the freezer.

The Vigor Polar Paddle (4L) has worked great for us! It is very helpful when cooling down liquids to reach safe storage temperatures. The wide opening makes it easy to fill with cubed ice so there is no waiting on water to freeze before use. Great product!
Works great to cool down soups and sauces that need to get refrigerated ASAP. It's large so works best for larger quantities. Easy to store. We just stick it in the corner of our walk in freezer and then it's ready for the next time we need it!
