Victorinox 5.2063.20-X4 8" Chef Knife with Fibrox Handle

I work in a healthcare kitchen and needed a new chef's knife. Since I don't like to leave expensive knives laying around my kitchen and don't want the bother of carrying my knives back and forth, I was looking for a decent knife at a decent price. I own some incredibly expensive knives and take kitchen cutlery very seriously so I was surprised when this knife far exceeded my expectations and lived up to the hype surrounding it. I acclimated to it quickly and it performs beautifully with the basic everyday tasks I use it for. Slicing raw meat, even bacon, is effortless. Veggies don't stand a chance. It's definitely not the work of art that my Miyabi is, but it's a functional workhorse at a steal of a price. I'd buy it again and would be proud to give it as a gift.

This is an excellent knife, especially for the price. It feels good in my hand, being the perfect weight. The textured plastic grip makes it easy to hold even with wet hands. I would highly recommend it to anybody wanting a knife for home use or for kitchens where the cook won't be bringing their own knives.

I recently purchased this knife and I have to say, I absolutely love it! Despite being the least expensive one I bought, it's also the most comfortable to use. I'm very impressed with the quality and value of this knife and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new kitchen knife.

This is the perfect balance between a paring knife and 8 inch chefs knife! Great for a variety of tasks without feeling too small or large in the hand, I always find myself reaching for this knife.

This knife is a great size for more tasks that require more finesse, such as Piecing out a whole chicken. I don't prefer it for chopping as much as it's larger 10' sibling, but nonetheless this is an awesome knife. Especially for the price!

Good knife quality for the price - not going to last forever but if you treat them right will be a good workhorse for a year.

Hands down one of the best sized chef's knife for everyday use. The quality of the cutting given the lightweight design on first holding is completely dispelled and is a joy to handle and slice. The knife handles comfortably well when used with wet dripping hands as it does with dry hands. The clean up is a breeze and the handle does not soak up any water despite the given porous texture of the fibrox handle. Will definitely buy more of these.

I love using Victorinox knives. They hold an edge and are easier to handle.

I have two Victornox Chef's knives, an eight inch and a ten inch, and they're amazing. Incredibly sharp, takes an edge easily, and highly durable. I started with the ten inch, which I've had for almost two years now, and it works great. However it was a bit cumbersome for some things (like breaking down bell peppers) so I bought the eight inch and fell in love with it. The eight is my go to now but I still carry both. I use the big guy for squashes and larger, harder, fruits and veg as well as slicing/trimming/chopping roast, loin, or skirt. The eight inch, as I said, is my go to for everything else. I use it all day, every day, on fruit, veg, meat, and everything inbetween. A great knife! Super sharp and easy to handle. Cutting meat and veg is amazing. I forgot what having a super sharp knife. Buying it on this site made it way cheaper! I would recommend this to anyone.

While I generally love Victorinox knives, I found these chef knives uncomfortable to use. When I tried to use my typical rocking motion for chopping, my knuckles kept banging on the cutting board, and even regular cutting of vegetables was less than comfortable for the same reason. That said, the blade is sharp and the price is affordable, as would be expected from Victorinox and Webstaurant.

This is my favorite chef's knife of the 5 that I own. It was also the least expensive. Very comfortable and easy to clean. It glides beautifully and came out of the box super sharp.

This is a nicely made knife, and I have a few. Downside is that none of mine have stayed sharp for long. WIth regular sharpening, they are cheap and serviceable in any home kitchen, though they are not my first choice for a cheap knife.

These are my favorite knifes to use in my Culinary Arts program. They are lightweight and comfortable to hold. They sharpen well and are a great value for the price.

Nice strong flexible blade, Use it sometimes to cut sushi rolls and slice salmon fillets since its blade is very sharp and thin. Not good for rocking chop.

Truly the best knife I’ve ever used. Extremely sharp and makes cutting through everything I’ve tried an absolute breeze. Handle feels safe and secure to use; no slipping as with other types of handles. The knife is a bit lighter than I would prefer, but the sharpness of the blade negates most of the need for heft. The sharpness really does all of the work for you. Will purchase again for friends in the market for new knives.
