Avantco Ice UC-H-210-A 26" Air Cooled Undercounter Half Cube Ice Machine - 222 lb.

We bought this ice machine and it didn't work. The repairman came out and had to replace the condenser (on a brand new machine). It worked for about a week and is not not producing ice again. Do not buy this brand.

This item arrived and was installed and only made one batch of ice and then shut down. I called your Customer Service and was given very vague and general information, and it was suggested we contact the warrantee company for help. We did, and they were supposed to come last Friday, but did not show up. When questioned, despite a voicemail to the contrary, they said they were coming on Tuesday. They came and discovered that the solenoid was malfunctioning and has to be replaced. This will take a week to ten days to get here. This item, and all the OTHER items in our order are for a snack bar at a beach on Lake Ontario. They have had NO ICE other than the bags of ice they are now forced to purchase. We purchased this ice machine for our restaurant. It worked perfectly fine overall for five months. We weren't 100% happy with the way it does ice but it will get the job done. Then randomly now it started to make solid sheets of ice that won't come out of the ice tray. It just keeps getting thicker and thicker until we have to shut it off. The ice no longer falls out. It just keeps getting thicker. Barely been 5 months and its no longer usable

This ice machine broke within the first month of ownership. If you are looking for a reliable machine, think twice. While we have purchased a number of commercial grade appliances from Webstaurant Store, this was not one of our better ones.

Now with 9 months of use, we have been having multiple issues with the machine. First, at least once a day the error E03 occurs and the machine stops making ice. Second, the machine suddenly started making bricks of ice which are very hard to brake and are not uniform. First months of use were perfect, machine worked well and made a lot of ice constantly with no issues at all, then after 6 months the issues started to appear.

After 6 months the door separated at its seem causing it to lose rigidity which gives it enough flex to constantly fall out of its tracks and fall off.

Constantly stops working and throwing error codes even after service. It's cheaper than most ice makers by a lot but thats for a reason. You'll need a new one very soon.

like everyone else, this machine stopped working after 6 months with minimal usage. is this still covered under warranty since its within 1 year?

This item worked for 17 months with constant cleaning and upkeep. Everything looked and functioned like brand new until it didn't. All at once it didn't harvest the ice. It would then run two more make cycles before erroring out, with the ice locked up and layered over in the tray. I troubleshot easily through 30 more cycles of this - making thickness adjustments, cleaning and recleaning. Made phone calls. Had people look at it. Ultimately, the repair between parts and labor was nearing the total cost of the machine - on top of purchasing ice daily. Ultimately i about broke even on the initial purchase against what a lease would've cost for that same duration, with the exception of the down time and hassle it caused. It's a bummer the machine didn't work out because it worked great when it did - just seems more disposable than anything.

Terrible. Not even big enough to fill one well. So small that it has to go back and of course they want 20 percent restocking fee. Instead of exchanging it for a bigger one they want a seperate order. I am 100 percent never using WebstaurantStore again
