Details

Introduce sophisticated French flair to your menu by adding this Rougie torchon foie gras to your charcuterie boards and high end dishes! A traditional French foie gras torchon made from fatty duck liver, this foie gras is lightly seasoned with fine port wine to give this distinctively sweet, nutty foie gras a fruity, acidic kick. To produce the tastiest, healthiest product, the raising of the ducks is carefully controlled at each step of the way. Hand fed for 10 to 11 days, the Moulard ducks are given locally-grown, hormone- and antibiotic-free corn twice daily. This luxurious delicacy is hand-selected, deveined, and sous-vide, preserving its richness and extending its shelf life, allowing you to serve fresh-tasting foie gras year round. Flavorful as-is, this foie gras torchon can be served with a sprinkle of sea salt or sliced and placed onto a cube of toasted brioche for simple and tasty passed hors d'oeuvres.

Transport your patrons to a bistro by serving this foie gras alongside a cheese and charcuterie board featuring famous French specialties like epoisses, camembert, terrine, and a fresh baguette. Perfectly balanced when served atop crunchy bread with accoutrements like dried fruit, fruit preserves, or honey, its slightly meaty flavor is complemented by the sweet and tartness of the fruit. Or, add it to salads or stuffing for high-end flavor in your fine dining restaurant. To serve, warm up a knife blade in hot water to cleanly slice approximately 1/2" thick slices. Since it has an intricate, delicate flavor, it is best to create a simple dish, like serving the foie gras as is or alongside housemade bread to create a clean, satisfying pairing. No matter how you use it, this foie gras will lend exquisite taste to any dish!

World renowned as an epicurean's delight, Rougie is beloved in 120 countries around the world, with humble beginnings as a small gourmet shop in France in 1875. With a history of high quality foie gras, Rougie prides themselves on careful raising, handling, and processing of their ducks. From local, sustainably-grown feed, to air-chilling and super freezing to protect the freshness of their product, trust Rougie to provide the best quality duck products on the market!
