Details

Add a gourmet delicacy to your menu with this Citterio boneless prosciutto! This decadent product is made from hand-selected legs of the finest hogs, which are expertly trimmed, then coated with a layer of salt to dry and preserve the meat. These salted hams are left to cure for a year or more in the cool, fresh breezes of Pennsylvania's Pocono mountains. During this curing period, the meat develops a complex, lightly sweet, salty, and savory flavor, as well as a striking ruby-red color shot through with rich white marbling. This exquisite product is made without preservatives; only natural ingredients are used, in accordance with ancient Italian tradition.

This boneless prosciutto makes it easy to slice the paper-thin ribbons of meat that your customers will expect, so it's a time-saving addition to your restaurant or deli. This rich, traditional meat will make a memorable addition to your next cheese plate or charcuterie board. Pair it with hard Italian cheeses like Pecorino Romano or Grana Padano, as well as olives, figs, melon, and rustic bread for a delicious antipasto platter that your guests are sure to remember! When served with a glass of crisp white or complex red wine, this prosciutto will offer a delicious taste of the best of Italian tradition. Plus, while it's delicious on its own, this prosciutto makes a wonderful addition to any number of dishes on your menu! Add it to decadent sandwiches, where its rich flavor will enhance the taste of all of your other ingredients. It also makes a great topping for traditional Italian pizzas, especially when paired with melty mozzarella, brightly acidic tomato sauce, refreshing basil, and piquant arugula! Serve it alongside a plate of Tuscan tagliatelle and vegetables, or pair it with sauteed fresh asparagus or sweet peas. No matter how you choose to use it, this boneless prosciutto will impart the rich flavor to your signature dishes!

The Citterio brand is known around the world as a synonym for professionalism, passion, innovation, and excellence. The family-owned company was founded in 1878 and continues to focus on producing quality products with classic, time-honored flavors to this day. Bringing the flavors and scents of tradition straight to your table, Citterio is a name you can trust for outstanding meats and cheeses.

We've purchased Citterio pre-sliced prosciutto in the past from retail outlets and have been completely satisfied. We thought we'd give this a try for our charcuterie boards. We typically slice prosciutto di Parma at our wine bar and this brand is no substitute for PDP. While it looks delicious and the flavor is fine, it is rubbery and difficult to slice. We slice very thin at about .-.5 on our slicer, the same thickness as the PDP but is tough and chewy. The Citterio sopresatta and salami we've purchased however are delicious.

This prosciutto smells and tastes amazing. High quality product and the price is great. The best thing it is boneless, so no struggle to extract the bones and just enjoy the distinctive italian flavor and made in the USA quality and strict hygiene regulations, I will tell my friends at work on webstaurantstore website as I know that some will love to buy this italian delicacy.

I would highly recommend this bonless prosciutto. I would recommend getting a meat slicer with it. You will end up saving a lot of money vs buying them individually cut already. And the taste is great!
