We installed this mop sink in January 2024 and by August 2024 is has rust and corrosion all over it. The walls are supposed to be 304 stainless (medium grade) and the sink and door 430 grade (low grade). The sink, door, and hinges have the worst rust. The sides and top have less rust. The location is in Fort Myers, FL 10+ miles from the ocean so its not salty air causing this. We have 304 stainless throughout the property in other locations with little to no rust that are much older. I suspect that metal may not be the grade that is advertised. I spoke with Webstaurant who said 90 day warranty only. There is a version of this sink that is all "300 grade" stainless. Not sure what that means, I would assume 304 grade. Almost Read More
Thank you for your review, James! Salty air can corrode metals within the distance that you describe in your review, and while 304 stainless steel does have increased corrosion resistance, this type does not guarantee protection against salt corrosion, especially in outdoor installations. 316 stainless steel is generally recommended as a better choice for optimal corrosion-resistance in these environments.
