The charger also has a built-in cooling system with a fan that circulates air through the battery and keeps your battery and charger in optimal conditions even in hot environments.

The Makita DC18RC charges a 2.0 Ah battery in 25 minutes, a 3.0 Ah battery in 30 minutes, a 4.0 Ah battery in 40 minutes, a 5.0 Ah battery in 45 minutes, and a 6.0 Ah battery in only 55 minutes.

This charger is compatible only with Makita Star Protection tools. The Makita DC18RC charger comes onboard with Star Protection Computer Controls that exchange data between the tool and software in real time to monitor conditions and protect your battery from overheating, overloading, or over-discharging. This system preserves the life of both your battery and your tool, and ensures maximum performance over a long duration of time.
