This arborist's trimming tool is compatible with Makita 18V LXT lithium-ion batteries and chargers.

This trimmer features a torque drive that shifts between speeds automatically and a reverse (clockwise) rotation system that keeps the trimmer head free of grass and weeds. The bump and feed trimmer head are loaded with twisted quiet line. This tool also features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs, and Star Protection computer controls to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. This trimmer weighs 10.4 lb. with the batteries in place for reduced operator fatigue.

This trimmer includes (4) 18V LXT lithium-ion 5.0 Ah batteries with 1 dual-port charger. The batteries feature LED indicators that show their charge levels clearly as well as impact-resistant outer cases and shock-absorbing inner liners that are engineered to protect the batteries and ensure they remain securely attached to the tool.
