The battery has sixteen different contact terminals to help ensure a constant connection between the tool and the battery, even during rigorous or high-vibration use. Impact resistant casing on the battery paired with a shock-absorbent inner liner help stop the battery from receiving damage when dropped or hit against other objects. This battery can withstand difficult temperatures as low as -4 degrees Fahrenheit and still perform with consistent power and expected run times.

This battery is compatible only with Makita Star Protection tools. The Makita BL1850B-2 comes onboard with Star Protection Computer Controls that exchange data between the tool and software in real time to monitor conditions and protect your battery from overheating, overloading, or over-discharging. This system preserves the life of both your battery and your tool, and ensures maximum performance over a long duration of time.
