This unit is very poorly designed. The heating elements are too close to the bottom so if you cook breaded products your oil will not last very long. I cooked chicken fried steak and this unit started to heavily smoke halfway through lunch. (about 20 chicken fried steaks) ruining an entire tank of oil.

Great backup fryer. I keep this unit in case my main fryer goes out and it works well. Does not have the quickest recovery time but is to be expected from a smaller capacity.

Third in 8 years, powerful enough for my needs. The only problem(with all of them): The power button stop working after 3 or more years and have to be replaced or removed). For this price i am satisfied.
