Galaxy GSW11 11 Qt. Soup Kettle Warmer - 110V, 400W

Just don’t buy. I am a longtime customer of Webstaurant. I read the reviews with a grain of salt. I read the reviews for these warmers. When folks said they broke down after six months of daily use, I thought what did you expect from a $ piece of equipment. My use is once a month on a buffet table. These things could not keep hot soup at 160 degrees on the highest setting. I put hot soup in the well and it was at 150 degrees in two hours. Absolutely useless. I have two other warmers from other manufacturers, shaped the same, one is from Webstaurant, the other was amazon. Both of these kept at 175 for the full four hours. Bottom line is these units don’t work at all.

This Galaxy warmer performed well for about 1 year, holding soup 5 days a week at 170. I twice bought the Avantco warmer, which is nearly identical but $20 more. Both times it quit almost exactly a year later, as well. Unfortunately these warmers seem to die within days of the 1 year replacement warranty. I hesitate to invest in a more expensive version.
