Customer questions about this product

What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.

For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.
My item arrived coated with a thin layer of oil. What is this oil for, and is it ready for immediate use?
Some carbon steel pans and woks are shipped with a protective oil coating from the factory to prevent them from rusting before their first use. They must be thoroughly washed with warm soapy water to remove all traces of the oil, and then properly seasoned before use.

pan great pans steel season eggs heats seasoned perfect seasoning

is it a super high end fancy expensive carbon steel pan? no, clearly not, but for the price it's great. as long as you season it properly it will serve you well. it heats up fast but still retains a lot of heat. it's a great pan for what it is.

Very thin carbon steel pans. They are very non stick when properly seasoned, but the seasoning process puts off some gnarly fumes and the fans don't feel very substantial.

I own a 8" tri-ply stainless steel skillet but wanted to try a carbon steel, which I never owned. This will now be my go to pan for my over easy fried eggs. After seasoning it's as good as teflon or my cast iron skillets.

This is my "go to" pan in the kitchen for individual/small portion items, especially proteins. It heats up nicely, retains it, gives a great sear to the product, and transitions well to the oven. great product, great price, great value.

All of these carbon steel fry pans are an excellent buy. Durable and surprisingly good looking pans. Very handy for making single servings and things like crepes.

Got these in and seasoned them right away, I am very excited to use them. I have the bigger ones and these pans feel heavier.

Great little pan. It is the perfect size to be an egg pan in the morning once you season the pan. I should know that is this pans duty in my kitchen.

Arrived in perfect condition. Perfect size for scrambled eggs! With a good seasoning, and a bit of butter, have no problem with omelets sticking either.

Nice size pan to use when you have that small dish and want to smother all those flavors without having a large pan to take up additional space on the stove.

This was my first carbon steel pan and I love it. I'll buy larger ones soon. The way it cooks and the heat distribution is fantastic. Instantly nonstick when you season it. Not as user friendly for guest cooks but I love the searing and smerimg this pan can do.
