If you're looking for the convenience of disposable products without the environmental impact of plastic or foam, look no further than the EcoChoice biodegradable, compostable sugarcane / bagasse 8 oz. bowl! Perfect for both hot and cold foods, this bowl is an ideal solution for quick-serve restaurants, caterers, and sandwich shops.
Upon disposal, biodegradable products are capable of being broken down by biological microorganisms, without harming the environment.
Compostable products will naturally degrade into nutrient-rich organic materials when disposed of with other compostable items in limited areas where facilities exist, leaving no visible or toxic residue.
This item can safely be used in the microwave for food service applications.
Made from bagasse, a by-product of sugarcane processing, this product is both compostable and biodegradable, which allows you to decrease your carbon footprint. While other disposable products are burned when thrown away causing air pollution, this can be renewed and recycled. In addition, EcoChoice dinnerware is made with superior strength and won't break or crack under moderate pressure. It can even handle the messiest of menu items thanks to its oil proof design.
A unique zig-zag textured design along the outside of this bowl increases its overall visual appeal while providing additional grip for easier handling.
Bright White Appearance
With a bright white color, this bowl will fit almost any restaurant decor and theme while creating a clean and fresh canvas for any type of food.
This sugarcane / bagasse item takes up less storage space than other disposable alternatives, and it can hold heavier foods than either paper or Styrofoam. Plus, since it requires much less energy to produce, it saves on both energy and resources.

People Talk About:bowls great bowl small gumbo fit disposable composted cereal buying
Definitely good for portion control, as the part that holds the food is smaller than expected. It's not a bad bowl, but the shape of it turned out not to be to my taste, and the texture on the underside was a little too rough for me. They are nice and sturdy, though, and presented no tipping or spilling problems even with kids carrying them. I think if you like the shape, you'll be very happy with them.

These bowls are very stylish at a low price point. As other reviewers have noted, they don't hold a lot - we have been sending them for yogurt parfait bars, or oatmeal bars, in either case a small serving size is expected. But if this is the size you are looking for, the presentation is great.

We love these biodegradable bowls and now have found a reseller that makes it affordable to buy them. Sturdy, perfect for small snacks for our kids. Even gave them out to some friends to try.

We always try to use biodegradable serve ware. This bowl we used for a southern style gumbo. The bowl has a unique look and we think look better that most disposable bowls. This is a great product and we will be buying it again.

The EcoChoice Bagasse bowl is somewhat small, but it gets the job done for my smaller portioned desserts i serve, with a semi deep center it's easy for my customers to handle. My customers also enjoy the unique look as well as knowing that it's biodegradable... Which is a plus in the food industry, and gives me an edge over my fellow competitors.

These biodegradable bowls are wonderful! They hold just enough ice cream or other snack, and they are better for the environment than alternatives. We highly recommend this product.

These bowls are great, but they are small. You can't fit a lot in them, and the picture makes them look bigger than they are. I use them for side salads in my house, but I ordered them thinking my kids could use them for breakfast cereal on vacation. It was too small for that. You may want to go with a larger size, as I will next time I order- But I will reorder because I think they are great and able to be composted.

Good quality and price, but the lip on the bowl is a little strange looking and somewhat makes what you put in the bowl (in my case, ice cream) look smaller than it actually is.
