I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so gripping things can be painful. This knife has an aggressively textured rubber grip which requires much less grip force to hold securely. The grip is large in diameter like the DuoGlide Chef Knife. Its larger than any other knife grip I've ever found. That makes it less painful to grip. I don't have to slice bread often, but now I feel confident buying unsliced loaves knowing I can cut them easily now.

I cannot recommend DR knives enough. One thing I will say about this knife though, is the thought that went into it was definitely from those with experience. The angle / height of the handle makes this a joy to work with. You can get down and fully score / cut your piece, without bumping your knuckles. Excellent design. Highly recommend!
