This is a great product, theoretically, but the structural design is lacking. I was satisfied with the product the first time but it broke eventually. So I still purchased a second one which lasted even less time with subsequent breakage along the "pillars" attached to the bottom plate. Was hoping to take it apart and epoxy it but this this doesn't seem possible. Product good; structural design bad. Sadly, will look elsewhere. I like this company and will purchase another products as needed but not this one again.

Definitely beats using a traditional mallet for pounding thick proteins. With the meat tenderizer all proteins cut lesser on time
