This is a great stone to cut your teeth on! If you're like me then when you're just starting out making pizzas by transferring them to a hot stone with a peel you're bound to rip a hole in a few crusts and get sauce on the stone. This (or getting any significant amount of liquid on it) can break any stone when you've got the oven up at the temperatures needed to get the oven spring and crispiness you're looking for. The affordability of this stone means that you don't have to worry about being out of a lot of money if this happens. Plus, it still works if it ends up in a few pieces!
