If you are looking for sparkling finishing sugar that is similar in coarseness to raw or turbinado, this is NOT it. Texture is closer to granulated. Disappointed.

Do not purchase white color! Waste of money. Sold as “sanding sugar” and I should’ve have believed the other reviews which compared this to regular granulated sugar. In the white color it is nearly indistinguishable from generic granulated sugar and in fact I have used other brands of granulated usage which has a larger crystal size. This product MAY be worthwhile in a color as the the color and not the crystal size is the primary feature but in white this is simply repackaged granulated sugar that costs four times the price. The manufacturer should not be selling this in good faith as sanding sugar. I can find no reference to grain size. “Decorating sugar” maybe “fine colored sugar” ok but “sanding sugar”? These sugar crystals are much small and fine in person than I thought they would be. Almost like dust when sprinkled on our cups of shaved ice. They desolate so quickly because of how tiny they are which doesn’t create the best presentation. Taste wise they are great!

Was very disappointed in this product, I could have just brought regular sugar based on the product received. Had to purchase sparkling sugar to enhance the product as we were adding them it cookie kits as topping on icing.

This Sugar is about 10 times smaller then sanding sugar. Closer to regular sugar. Thats what I will have to use it for. Your products are usually great. Sad that you advertise this as sanding Sugar. Very disappointed. Will have to order Sanding sugar else where

Was thrilled to see Webstaurant carrying white / clear sanding sugar again! The grain size on this was smaller than I expected but should still work to top muffins, cookies, etc...

We purchased the lavender sanding sugar for decorating king cakes and it turns blue within a few hours of being applied to the icing. See pictures of the color this turn compared to how it looks when we use a different brand of sanding sugar.

Terrible color for being listed as "light green". My own fault for hoping the picture was wrong ?? it's absolutely more of a turquoise/teal situation, not at all what would be considered light green.

Love this sugar for decorating our cones. However the blue has changed. It is not a dark pretty blue like it used to be. Now its more of a teal or aqua. Bring back the dark blue please!!!

This is grade FINE sugar if you were wondering. Granulated or table sugar is super fine. Table sugar is a combination of this and sugar dust. So this is the size of the largest sugar crystals in granulated/table sugar. It’s not the super chunky sugar for topping cookies.

I should have trusted the reviews. This is not sanding sugar - at least not what you want to use to create decor on a cookie. It completely disappears on top of our cookies (where as the C&H white sanding sugar stays on and creates a glitter effect). We couldn't find our usual product so I thought I would try it out. Nope - it is marketed incorrectly.

Very good quality and good amount of supply. The only flaw would be in packaging as a container instead of bag could help preserve freshness (we transferred to one after opening). Otherwise, recommended!

I have been buying sanding sugar from Webstaurantstore for a long time. The quality of these sanding sugar varies a lot. The biggest problem I have is with the colored powder mixed in it. This type of sugar is filled with so much colored powder that it becomes unacceptable and unbearable. Out of all the colors I have ordered so far, the blue sanding sugar is the worst. After you take the blue sugar out of the bag and try to put in a container, blue powder and dust just flys everywhere, staining from skins to clothes to furniture and to wall. I cannot breathe and have to hold my breath, or my nose will be completely covered in blue ( and probably my lungs). I have to stop buying from this website for the sake of my health, despite their great price. My workers also complain about the unbearable dust. Anyhow, I really wish you can apply some kind of quality control for the powdery dust. I am willing to pay for a better quality. The current quality is not acceptable.

THE BLUE IS A LITTLE TOO DARK IT DOESNT SHINE AS MUCH AS THE LIGHTER COLORS DO BUT ITS STILL GOOD AND SO PRETTY .
