Designed specifically for commercial kitchen use, the Vollrath Cayenne 924HIMC four hob induction hot plate offers a high-efficiency, heavy-duty solution for both low- and high-temperature cooking. For superior versatility, it features four manual control knobs, adjustable from 1% to 100% of output power. Use the sensitive low-end control for cooking sauces, milks, and chocolates, or turn up the power for fast, high temperature cooking.

Thanks to its extremely high cooking efficiency, the hot plate induction provides instant, controllable heat, which results in a cooler kitchen and lower HVAC costs. To help conserve energy and extend the life of induction hot plates, each unit is also equipped with safety features such as an over-heat protection mechanism, small-article protection, pan auto-detection, and an empty pan shutoff.

The Vollrath Cayenne 924HIMC induction hot plate can accommodate small, induction-ready saute, sauce, or stock pots up to 10 1/4" in bottom diameter. For fast, efficient cleaning, it features an 18 gauge, type 304 stainless steel casing and an easy-to-clean ceramic top.

Since this unit uses induction technology to cook food, there are no open flames or hot elements to contend with. Not only does this helps to reduce the chances of employee injury but it can help keep ambient temperatures low. Plus, induction technology is more efficient than traditional utilities since less energy is lost.

The Vollrath Cayenne 924HIMC four hob countertop induction hot plate has two 208/240V, 24 amp electrical ratings, with 2500-2880 watts per hob.

I purchased my first Vollrath Induction Stove (924HIMC Cayenne Four Hob Heavy Duty Induction Hot Plate with Manual Controls 208/240V) in September 2020 (Unit #1). Within 9 months, two of the hobs failed. I figured it was a fluke. The stove came with a twelve-month warranty and after a rigorous back-and-forth with Vollrath, the warranty was honored, and the hobs replaced. After all, Vollrath is a recognized commercial kitchen brand, and I figured that a brand of that stature and the price I paid would ensure that Vollrath was manufacturing a product that was of high quality. I purchased a second unit shortly after the first unit was repaired (June ’21). Unfortunately, this was the beginning of what feels to be a never-ending litany of problems.
