For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. The following is a lab test of EverTite Rivets. To test the longevity of the rivets, a dry fry pan was placed on a full burner for 15 minutes, with 22 lb. of weight attached to the handle.
Results: after 15 minutes on a full burner and reaching 850 degrees Fahrenheit, Vollrath's EverTite Rivets showed no signs of stretching or distress. The handle was as tight after the test as before.
Competitor Pan A results: rivets elongated, floppy handle.
Competitor Pan B results: rivets melted, handle broke off.
EverTite handle reached a maximum of 850 degrees Fahrenheit while Competitor A reached 723 degrees Fahrenheit and Competitor B reached 764 degrees Fahrenheit.

1 out of 1 found this review helpfulThese pans are aluminum core wrapped in stainless. They get hot so much faster then the traditional stainless and clean better then the traditional aluminum. Time is money on a saute line and these will save time! I plan on swapping out all my pans over the next few years.
This stainless steel pan seems very well built. As far as I can tell, there are none/minimal hot spots, providing a beautiful even sear. Make sure it’s heated up correctly to make it essentially “non stick” by using the water droplet test!
The 10 inch vollrath tribute fry pan is a great addition to my kitchen. It’s perfect for searing chicken or other foods. You can also throw it in the oven to bake. It evenly distributes heat, doesn’t burn food, and is easy to clean!
Good heavy duty stainless steel sauce pan. Send durable and heavy weight, but the handle seems a bit cumbersome for the design as how id goes underneath.
probably the best sautee pan out there these days. the heat is very evenly distributed through out the whole pan. just wash and use as many times you need to. great product all around!!!
this vollrath 10" try ply weight as much as my 5-ply all clad copper core. The finish is not as nice as all clad but the heat is more evenly distributed. The handle is kind of awkward but otherwise it's a well built pan. It just has rough edges around the rim of the pan

Just received this pan and it is amazing. It is beautiful, heavy and will hopefully be a part of our kitchen for many years to come. These pans are not non-stick so they do require proper heating and proper use of fats. I always clean by hand and I do it right after I finish using it. This keeps anything from having time to set up on the pan's surface.
This is my new favorite pan, it conducts heat very well and cleans up easily. The handle gets a bit hot after cooking for a while but not too hot.
I originally bought a Tri Ply pan as a cheaper version of the All Clad pan. I was pretty happy with it. But in the back of my mind, I always wondered how much better an all clad could be. After some more research, I came across the Vollrath Tribute series. It was tested and proven to hold heat better, and have more even heat dispersion then the Allclad. (to my understanding at least....) I took a gamble on a much lower priced pan, and this gamble payed off. This pan is incredible. It's pretty heavy, and it holds an even heat, and sears every bit as good as a cast iron pan. The only complaint, the handle does get hot. Not so hot you cant hold it, but it is a bit uncomfortable. Also the shape of the handle is fairly harsh on your hand. All complaints aside....I love this pan. I've had nicer handles... but this pan cooks well! I'll take the high performance any day even if it includes some slight ergonomic glitches.
This was my first purchase and first time using a stainless steel pan. I was a little nervous at first using it, but I'd read plenty on how to properly heat the pan and add the oil just before your ingredients go in. The first thing I cooked was a simple fried egg, and I couldn't have been happier to see the egg sliding around the pan. The handle does get a little warm if you've been using the pan for awhile, but it both heats and cools really quickly. After using this, I purchased the 12" skillet of the same brand to round out my set.
