How is top diameter measured in frying pans, and how accurate is this measurement?
The top diameter is the measurement across the frying pan from the interior of one side of the rim to the other. These dimensions are a close approximation as many frying pans have a curved upper rim, which makes precise measurement difficult. The standard naming is by top diameter, so although multiple brands have a 10” frying pan, there will likely be a small variation between each brand’s 10” pan.
How can I best maintain the non-stick qualities of this item?
To prevent food from sticking to your non-stick surface, we recommend lightly coating it with oil, wiping off any excess with a soft cloth or napkin. Using sprays on non-stick coatings can actually cause food to stick more readily than using a fat or oil. Sprays can leave a glue-like coating, often missed during the cleaning process, which will begin to build up and cause foods to stick. Additionally, metal utensils and abrasive cleaners should not be used with non-stick surfaces to prevent scratching and damaging the coated surface.
What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.
For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. This is the BEST induction ready non-stick pan I've found. It's so good, I've ordered the 10 and 12 inch with lids. I've used it for a number of months and it's become my favorite pan. Goes from cook top to oven and the silicone handle is great. I highly recommend it. The only negative, if you can call it that, is the weight of the pan. It's solid and heavy; similar to cast iron.
I just got several of these Vollrath Tri-Ply Tribute series pans. I usually wait for a long time to review a product because I want to be able to testify how well it held up or what I didn't like about it. These pans leave you speechless. Absolutely amazing. The weight, the gauge of material, the no stick properties, the shape, the balance, I can't wait to use it again. If this thing lasts like it feels like it will, I hope my grandchildren enjoy them.
I use this pan exclusively for eggs and omelettes. The “tribute” series is thicker and better quality that their other models which allows an even heat distribution. There is no better non stick pan on the market at this price! Would recommend!

The Vollrath Tribute 8” Non-Stick Fry Pan with Silicone-Coates Handle is a great quality frying pan. It heats evenly and is very sturdy. It is easy to clean and very durable. It is great for both commercial and residential use.
Long lasting pans. They are easy to clean and do a really great job for omelet stations/ pasta stations. Work very well and even cooking.
Definitely the best frying pan I ever owned...This Vollrath 69108 Tribute 8" Non-Stick Fry Pan with Silicone-Coated Handle is terrific. I actually did the egg test to see if it's really as good as the reviews claim it it...I did fry an egg with absolutely no grease and this pan worked perfectly.

I really love the vollrath tribute line of frying pans. They heat up fast, look great, and clean up easily. Eggs slide out of the pan with little or even no fat.

These non-stick pans go great with the vollrath induction cookers. They are light weight, and easy to clean. The rubber handle is a great added feature because it keeps you from getting burned.
