We have a ton of the normal ones, and I will be honest, the only reason we purchased these was for aesthetic purposes. That being said, they work just as well as the standard square / rectangular versions and are more stylish. For a similar cost, we highly recommend these...in addition to the entire Vollrath line of steam pans.
