I use this in a 1/3 sized pan in a food warmer to steam hot dog buns. I'm not so sure it was worth double the price of the Choice brand one they were out of stock on, but I needed something quickly and it works. I have a few other Vollrath pans, and they are quite a bit heavier than others, so probably hold up better under heavy use, but the less expensive Choice brand is pretty good for light to medium duty.
