They are great as tasting spoons and as flatware, although the small bowl means they aren't a great option for thin liquids like soups. For thicker things like ice cream, yogurt, hummus, etc., they are a good option.

These wooden spoons are great for disposable use, as they are compostable and you don't have to feel bad about wasting plastic. They are not as deep and don't hold as much as a traditional spoon, but they do the job well.
