For holding hot food, the ServIt steam table is a great choice. It can be used dry, or paired with spillage pans (sold separately) for wet holding. Since this unit comes with an undershelf, it has extra space for storing pans, utensils, hot pads, and other frequently-used items. Plus, the sneeze guard keeps food free of contaminants while the overshelf makes it easy to serve up plates of hot food.

Four Pan Capacity

This powerful holding unit can hold four full size food pans full of pasta, meat, or side dishes in each 500W well. For optimum heating versatility, each individual well of the steam table is independently controlled by an infinite control knob. Although intended for dry use, this steam table can be used wet with a compatible spillage pan (sold separately). A 120V electrical connection is required.

Included Overshelf and Sneeze Guard

The included overshelf provides vertical storage space as well, making it easy to store commonly used tools, utensils, and condiments or to serve a plated meal. It also features an acrylic sneeze guard panel to shield your culinary creations from harmful pathogens. Best of all, installation couldn't be easier! It attaches using simple screws, which fit in pre-drilled holes within the steam table.

What's the difference between open well and sealed well steam tables?
Open well tables can be used with spillage pans for moist heat holding, or without pans for dry heat holding of fried foods or other crispy items. This design allows the flexibility to have some of the wells using moist heat, and some of them using dry heat, at the same time. Open well tables do not have drains, so the spillage pans must be removed and emptied after service.

Sealed well tables do not need spillage pans; water is added directly to the well, and is emptied through a drain after service. However, sealed well tables should not be used for dry heat holding.

We use this magnificent electric steam table in our BBQ restaurant to keep our BBQ at the perfect temperature, it is so easy to keep clean and quickly gets up to temp!

Overall, we're happy with this. It doesn't heat as fast as our old one and the plug-in for it was ridiculously hard to fit (a weird shape that the big box hardware stores could tell us how to use.) Finally had to resort to a specialized electrician to wire it in for us. And the prep board on it was too narrow so we put the one from our old steam table on it and it works okay. Other than that, it's been good.
