Regency Stainless Steel Work Table Assembly

Regency offers stainless steel in a variety of gauges and types that correspond to different levels of strength and durability. By understanding the gauge and type, you can easily determine what equipment is best for your application. Regency stainless steel is available in three gauges: fourteen, sixteen, and eighteen. Gauge refers to the thickness of the metal, with the thickest being the lowest number, and therefore the strongest. That makes fourteen-gauge stainless steel thicker than sixteen- or eighteen-gauge stainless steel. This also means that fourteen-gauge is heavy-duty, sixteen-gauge is standard-duty, and eighteen-gauge is light-duty. Types of stainless steel include three-oh-four and four-thirty. Type refers to the chemical make-up of the material. Heavy- and standard-duty products are available in type three-oh-four stainless steel, as it contains both chromium and nickel for corrosion-resistance. Select light-duty products also come in type three-oh-four, while the rest are made with type four-thirty stainless steel. This type contains chromium and no nickel, offering less corrosion-resistance than type three-oh-four. Four-thirty stainless steel is also magnetic, which can be a nice added benefit while you're working. Once you determine the optimal gauge and type for your business, shop Regency for stainless steel equipment of all sizes and configurations.

Assembling Regency stainless steel work tables is quick and simple! Each table ships with a tabletop, undershelf, legs, and an allen wrench, plus two extra set screws. Place the tabletop upside down on a surface that won’t scratch it. Insert the legs into the tabletop gussets. You may need to loosen the set screw if one struggles to go in. Partially tighten the set screws—full tightening will come later. On each of the legs, mark the height where you’ll be installing your undershelf. In any foodservice application, the shelf should be at least six inches off the ground for food safety. Once marked, slide the shelf onto the legs and fully tighten all the set screws. Adjust the feet as needed to meet your height requirements or to compensate for uneven flooring. Flip the table over and peel off the protective film. Your work table is now ready to be used!
