Regency 3 1/2" Basket Drain with Strainer - 1 1/2" IPS

Poor quality out of 3 had to replace 2 as of now because of issues of them not tightening up on the drain and tailpiece properly

These are the absolute worst. I can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade since I first encountered one of these and they still haven’t changed the design. The lock nut is not deep enough for the tail piece and when you do manage to get it started the threads are almost non existent and it just keeps spinning or you get it tight and even just breathe on it and it pops right off. It’s the same with the hand sink drains. I had a plumber on one project and he said the exact same thing. Don’t bother trying to get a deeper plastic nut or rubber seal thinking it will fix the problem. It might help a little but it’ll still pop right off if anybody accidentally touches it. Every time I have to deal with one of these things it’s a huge waste of time and it makes absolutely no sense as I have never encountered these issues with any other product but these regency drains.

the threads that are used to tighten the not to the sink are very thin. Bought 3. All 3 leaked. One was stripped before it was even tightened all the way. I would avoid these.

Poor quality, does not tighten properly on tailpipe/drain/collar. Will be replacing all 6 purchased

These basket strainers are good quality and easy to install. We installed them on our 48"x 24"x 13" deep double sink used in our canning kitchen. Would recommend these to anyone.

They work exactly as you’d want them to. The only issue I have with them is that I’m unable to allow the water to drain slowly from my sink with them.

The nut can be a little tricky to screw on but once you get it it tightens up really well. I suggest adding a little sealant before tighten. It will help prevent leaks.

We used to have a different drain in our sink that wouldn't allow us to use the fixed post basket strainers. So we switched them out for these and now all our problems of water leaking have been solved. Install was a little more of a pain than anticipated but once I got them on there there hasn't been a problem since.

We do not have a garbage disposal, so these are absolutely essential for trapping large food fragments and making sure our drain doesn't get clogged!

This is a quality drain strainer. It catches all of the unwanted items such as food, plastic, paper that get tossed in on the plates.

Replaced our design basket with this one and the fit is much better. It holds the garbage from plates as it should and helps with clean up.

We used these to make tiny, temporary sinks for our mobile, cold brew coffee business. We used a hole saw to cut into the hotel pans and then installed the basket drains. They worked perfectly.
