To snake out a commercial floor sink, put on leather work gloves and remove the drain cap. Plumbing snakes usually come in several sizes, so begin by using the smallest snake first. Insert the business end of the snake into the drain and feed it into the drain as far as it will go. Usually, you will feel when it hits the clog. Push the snake further into the clog and start turning the handle. Once the water drains, you know that the clog is gone. If the water isn’t draining, try a bigger snake.
