We have two of these and three cordless handset style extensions at a restaurant. This phone system may be unique in that the same model phone can be the base connected to the phone lines and as an extension phone. They also can be wall mounted. Since the same phone can be the base or an extension and the price is very reasonable, we have a spare in case the base or wall phone fails. The base is connected to real analog phone lines, so it is vulnerable to lightning at our location so a spare is important.

It worked fine when received in Oct. Used for 2 weeks before we closed for the season. Reopened our business and discovered that the phone was completely dead. Useless.
