Emergency responders may not be able to reach the victim before permanent damage or even death occurs, but an AED (automated external defibrillator) like this device can allow someone without any medical training to deliver potentially life-saving treatment until help arrives. Designed to keep operation as simple as possible, this AED helps guide you through each step of a rescue and comes with smart design features to save time when setting up.

Includes Adult Electrode Pads
The AED starts up quickly with the highly visible on/off button. It comes with a pair of electrode pads with clear illustrations that tell you where to place them on the patient's chest. The pads are stored pre-connected to the AED to let you respond faster and are intended for adult use only, but this model can also switch to treat in pediatric mode with the optional infant / child key (sold separately). This allows you to treat any patient type without switching to different pads, like some AEDs require.
Semi-Automatic Design
Once the pads are placed on the patient's body, this semi-automatic AED will prompt you to deliver the shock at the appropriate time using a simple button. During the rescue, voice instructions and clear diagrams will help you administer treatment confidently until help arrives, and if you need help during the CPR phase you can activate assistance with a simple button. This prompts the AED to tell you where to place your hands for compressions and provides a metronome to follow, ensuring the correct compression rate for optimal chance of rescue success.
Rescue Data Storage
Rescue data is stored in the device's internal memory and can be transferred to a computer using the Philips HeartStart Event Review data management software.
Daily Self-Checks
This unit proactively completes a daily self-check so that you can be alerted of potential issues promptly and fix them. It also performs a check whenever a battery is installed.
Quick Response Time
This AED is ready to deliver a shock to the patient in less than 10 seconds, saving precious time during the rescue and ensuring that the patient gets a shock as quickly as possible, should one be advised.
Accessories Included
The AED comes with an 8-year warranty on the device, and a 4-year warranty on the battery. The electrode pads have a 2-year life, and the battery has a 4-year standby life. The AED has an ingress protection rating of 55.
