This Globe SP08 8 qt. commercial stand mixer features a 1/4 hp, gear driven motor with three speeds so that you can power through any batch of ingredients! An ergonomic hand lever raises and lowers the bowl with ease, while an interlock system shuts down the mixer when the bowl is lowered for added safety. The bowl guard keeps hands out of the bowl during mixing times, and also keeps contaminates from being mixed into the product. The ingredient chute provides a straight passage to the contents of the bowl, allowing less spilling around the bowl when pouring messy ingredients in such as flour, milk, sugar, and vanilla. Plus, the fixed speed transmission is made of heat treated, hardened alloy gears that provide high torque mixing power and quiet operation. With a 6 foot cord and ground plug, you can place this unit anywhere in your kitchen.
Perfect for taking a break from whipping, kneading, and mixing by hand, this stand mixer allows you to make anything from fluffy whipped cream and chocolate frosting to silky meringues and cheesecake batters. This unit also aids in making cohesive and lump-free quick-breads, mashed potatoes, pancake batters, and fully-incorporated cookie doughs. The mixer comes with a wire whisk, flat beater, dough hook, and bowl. This unit requires a 115V electrical connection.

Overall this is a great mixer for cakes, cookies, etc. It can certainly do dough but makes a creaking noise I am concerned about long term. The torque can cream cool butter no problem and overall this beats the kitchenaid commercial hands down. Drawbacks if you have a small spare are the size and if you make dough frequently go for a spiral mixer.

If you use other tabletop mixers in your restaurant, replace them with this. It mixes small batches of doughs well and more. We have an older one at our other place and we wanted a new one with the new spot. Highly recommend it.
