The Watts WD-20 40 lb. grease trap prevents greasy substances from entering plumbing systems, septic fields, and wastewater treatment facilities where they cannot be processed properly and could harm the environment.
Grease traps like the Watts WD-20 are often used with cooking or prep sinks, pot sinks, and commercial dishwashers in various types of commercial food service operations. A flow restrictor on the inlet side of the interceptor slows incoming effluent and redirects it through baffling inside the grease trap.
As the flow is gradually slowed, lighter than water substances accumulate inside the trap above the static water line.
The Watts WD-20 Grease Interceptor features a body constructed of 11-gauge cold rolled steel with an oven-cured, acid-resistant baked gray epoxy coating. Other standard features include a solid steel cover with gasket, a removable baffle assembly, a deep seal trap with cleanout, no hub connections, and an external cast iron flow control fitting (flow restrictor).
The Watts WD-20 grease trap has a grease capacity of 40 lb., and a flow rate of 20 GPM. It is PDI (Plumbing & Drainage Institute) Certified, and meets the industry and PDI Standard PDI-G101 for separation efficiency. This standard specifies that the grease trap must maintain 90% separation efficiency up to its rated grease retention capacity.

When we purchased our most recent establishment there was no grease trap in place. This installed extremely easy and has a fairly large capacity at a great price.
This is the perfect size for the small kitchen in our Wine Bistro. Building inspector was very impressed. Would highly recommend for a small kitchen.
40 lb Grease trap is required from my local health dept. It is nicely priced, built well and should last for years with an easy off cover for cleaning.
The Dormont WD-20 40lb Grease Trap was what the Health Dept required. Easy for the plumber to install and no issues with it yet. Doesn't take up much room either.
