This trimmer features a lever-style lock system for quick tool-less attachment installation and a reverse (clockwise) rotation system that keeps the trimmer head free of grass and weeds. It also features IPX4 weather-resistant construction for durability and longer equipment life. The trimmer features XPT (Extreme Protection Technology), which protects the unit from excess dirt, debris, water, or mud during intense jobs, and is compatible with Makita couple shaft attachments (sold separately) and is only for use with Makita batteries and chargers (sold separately).
