The clearcoat makes for a light airy industrial atmosphere vers dark black. However, during unpacking I don't recommend using a knife or scissors. These chairs will show noticeable scratches. I recommend assembling yourself it's super easy only 4 screws. I hope these chairs hold up for the long run.

They clear coated the chairs before cleaning off all the rust. Adds a kind of cool appearance, though for the money one would think that would have been addressed before clear coating. The clear coat is so thick that is has started to spider wed over the whole surface of the chair, just waiting for it to start chipping off. Hardware for the seats to fasten to the chair itself are cheap and will pop out after a couple months of use. I have had to repair all 64 chairs that I have purchased.... Only a little over a year old.

These Lancaster black padded seats are great! The price is wonderful. They are strong and sturdy chairs. and the padding is nice and thick and actuallycomfortable. .

I bought to use in my restaurant dinning room area and fit perfectly!!!
This chair is just fabulous looking for my seating area and tables. It is extremely durable and has a very nice padded cushion. Super sleek design and works well with different styles
My customers love how these chairs look and how comfortable they are to sit in. They can easily be cleaned with a wet towel and they look brand new, even after months of use. I would recommend it.

For the price, you're really getting a quality chair. It looks great and definitely elevates the look of the dining room. It is on the lighter side (weight) compared to a true sturdy restaurant quality chair, I would recommend it.
This chair is good quality for the price. It is very comfortable and I love the unique design. I ordered one in the steel coat and one in the black. The steel cost seemed more prone to scratching so decided to go with the all black chairs.
