How can I properly care for cast iron surfaces?

In order to prevent unwanted build-up of oils, grease, and food, surfaces should be cleaned after use while still slightly warm. Harsh chemicals or scouring pads should not be used—only hot water and a cloth or sponge are needed. If some areas require extra cleaning, a mild scouring pad can be used.

Not recommended at all, i wake up morning and the surface peeled of by itself , i treated very well , we dont use anything on surface except the crepe mix and we season it all time according to the instructions , we contact company once it peeled off they said not covered and they cant help even in changing surface . This so upset investing this much money and losing it after 2 month , company can say ship the old one and we offer new one with percentage discounted but they want help you at all

In response to the 1 star review. I bet they don’t know all the intricacies of how to treat the surface of a machine with burning oil etc. also it is very common that after some time of use the treated surface will need to be re-treated, that’s just standard practice with a Krampouz machine. I hate to have to pay so much for these machines, but they literally have the best surface. No other crepe maker compares. Their grooves are the key to their performance and if you make buckwheat crepes you need these guys.
