A customizable ice making schedule allows for fluctuations in daily levels of production. Simply program the machine to produce ice by On/Off Time or Ice Volume. Its EasyTouch™ display communicates operating statuses to your staff, as well as cleaning reminders, and asset information through an eye-catching blue illuminated display. This innovative technology allows you to easily improve energy management, set proper ice production levels, streamline cleaning processes, ease food safety concerns, maintain ice quality, and quickly receive up-to-date service information. Unaffected by water conditions, the acoustical ice sensing probe detects when the harvest is ready so the machine continues to run smoothly. Plus, this unit's space-saving design includes a DuraTech™ exterior for superior corrosion resistance. This exterior surface is easy to wipe clean and provides protection against fingerprints and scratches.
For maximum safety in sanitation, all Manitowoc Indigo NXT ice machines feature an easy-to-clean foodzone. A hinged front door swings out for easy access to the removable water-trough, distribution tube, curtain, and sensing probes for fast, efficient cleaning. What does the "T" or "F" mean in the new Manitowoc model numbers?
This indicates that the unit is using R290 refrigerant, a more eco-friendly refrigerant. Although the new models are identical to the older models, Manitowoc has phased out the production of units without R290 refrigerants in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program. Great ice maker keeps nicely for what I need. We are an ice cream shop and I only use about 125 lbs per day. I installed myself on my storage bin. Installation directions were lacking some clarity. For instance the unit was touch screen operation but upon initial installation during power up there is no indication where the power button is located, neither on the screen (which has a power indicator button that does not operate the power) nor in the instruction manual. It was inside the unit so You had to unscrew and open the front panel to power up. Also the machine lacks clarity when trying to set the 24 hour timer should you choose to use that. Great machine, quiet, produces as requested. It has been running trouble free for 1 month now. Improve printed directions and information with more detail.

Doesn't work properly in the first week. We had a service tech come out and he said this is a common problem with this new machine having faulting bin full errors as manufacturing has moved to China. They want to warranty this by cutting apart the top and try to jam a new part in but the tech said he would never allow this for a new machine. Hopefully Webstaurant will step in here but do not buy this product.
