Not a bad blender, but I won't be buying this model when it's time for a new one. Removing the blender from the motor is tricky if there are any liquids involved, since you have to grip and twist a narrow and sloping section of the machine. If it was immersed most of the way then it will definitely involve getting stuff on your hands/gloves and make the process much more slippery. Overall the blade seems a little slower than other immersion blenders we've used, everything takes a minute or two longer to blend well. After 2 years of light to moderate use (average a few times a week) the motor is starting to sound a little rough and it feels like it doesn't have much life left in it. We got it at a good price, so I don't regret buying it, but I will be shopping around for different brands next time.

Was not too pleased with this, I had been using a consumer grade unit for the last year and this one was actually worse. It does not blend very well, and the blade this is bent back under the main part of the blade does nothing but get caught on the bottom of a pot.

Blender didn't work. or better it didn't blend. defects can happen and i patiently waited for a replacement, a credit or something.4 months passed since i had bought this blender and after complying with return procedures (making a video and sending product back to manufacturer) i still have not been credited and no message from manufacturer. I've emailed them periodically but all I got was the standard customer service script "Ooooh I'm so sorry. let me see what i can do". nothing.

I used it once. The motor seemed fine. The blades were a joke. The bottom thing, absolutely not a blade, catches fresh herbs and wraps them up instead of cutting them up in the sauce. Terrible. I haveno use for it. Looking for an actual blade for it, but I don't see one.

Great little immersion blender. It is quiet, but has enough power to blend everything smoothly. We use it mostly for soups, but have had success making dressings as well.

Good blender with one issue - Blade is slow. We love these - have 2 of them. They are great for making quick sauces - as long as you are just trying to mix ingredients / don't mind a rustic look. Even with 2 speeds, we cannot get this to create a smooth sauce. Everything is a bit grainy. Compared to my el-cheapo home - edition, the high-speed on this blender is about the same as the low speed on the cheap one. But for making an avocado spread, or a home-style tomato sauce, these are great.

Great option to make guacamole!! As a taco catering company, we still want to provide a fresh tasty guacamole so we decided to buy the Hamilton Beach blender. It has two speeds so I can control how chunky I want the guacamole to be. The bottom part comes off so it's easy to clean. I still have not used it to blend salsas or anything else like that, but I am sure that I will not have any problem getting the job done.

This is a good heavy duty immersion blender. We're using it for smoothing pastry cream creme anglaise, and other sweet sauces. It does a good job with batch sizes up to 6 quarts.

works well for pureeing our soups but I was expecting a smoother consistency when I ordered this product. If you need a very smooth result guess you need something else.
