The plate produces 1/2" thick strands of meat and the flat design allows you to use each side for twice the longevity. Designed to work with #12 meat grinders, this plate is made of type 420 stainless steel for fantastic durability and simple cleaning. The 1/2" size is perfect for very coarse grinds of meat for chili, stew, or as a first grind when breaking down tough or large meat.
