This slicer was a waste of money!! Used it twice and now sits on my counter as a bad reminder of the bad purchase. I wish WebstaurantStore would quality check some of the products they sell. The easiest thing to slice a tomatoe and it barley cuts through it and then the skin gets hung up on the blades every time. Took a while to write this review but just don’t want anyone else to make this mistake. Now price is different which is crazy. Do not buy!!!!

I love tomatos. This slicer makes them even better. I now use it evey day. I am not a restaurant, but I eat a lot of tomatos. It was indulgent of me, but it was worth it. I would like to get the onion slicer, but for an individual, that is too much money. I found out about the slicer through an uncle of mine that just sold his hamburger drive-in. It was the Brown Derby in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They had the best burgers in Shawnee for over 50 years.

This is a decent inexpensive option. Not built with the highest quality materials. The flange that secures the slicer to your work surface is extrememly weak and will fail after 1-2 years.

Hot diggity! This thing can slice a tomato faster than a quick draw in a showdown on a hot night in Tacoma

Item is not built well for high use commercial, we continue to keep buying replacement blades because they are so cheap and snap off at the mounting area of the blades. Unfortunately we will probably need to look at a more expensive vollrath as it doesn't make sense to keep replacing the blades luckily they are less expensive each time compared to vollrath or others that are more expensive plus per blade but well worth it if they can last 6 plus month.
