Customer questions about this product

How can I safely remove crumbs from a toaster?

Most toasters have a tray at the bottom where the majority of crumbs will fall. Remove the toaster’s crumb tray, empty all of the loose crumbs, and wipe the tray clean, making sure it’s dry before replacing.

Do not turn the toaster upside down or shake to remove crumbs. This can be damaging, loosening internal components and further lodging crumbs inside of the toaster. Shaking a toaster can also cause the lever not to work over time.

How many slices per hour can this pop-up toaster toast?

Pop-up toasters are not meant for high volume applications. Instead, we suggest you look at our conveyor toaster offerings.

What makes this toaster heavy-duty? Is it a good choice for a low-volume establishment?

Heavy-duty toasters are designed with continuous use in mind. Because they are more powerful than lighter-duty toasters, it takes longer for their elements to heat up. This means it will take longer for products to toast when the toaster is allowed to cool down too much between uses. However, their extra power means that these units are great for high-volume restaurants that need to continuously produce toast!

We use five of these in our little bagel shop/cafe and couldn't be more happy with the quality and performance. They stand up to heavy use and do a great job of delivering a quality bagel to our customers.

This toaster is not worth the amount of money paid. It takes for ever to toast a single bagel. I won’t recommend it, I should have paid attention to previous reviews about how slow is.

I have only used it once and the lever on one side won't stay down. I obviously got a defective toaster. I can live with the fact that its slow, but breaking after a single use is unacceptable. Hopefully, they will honor the warranty.

Not worth the money. An expensive toaster should not be malfunctioning less than a year in. I'm at the 9 month mark and the left slots on my toaster only toast one side each. Its like its permanently stuck on "bagel mode". I would recommend buying a different toaster. even when the toaster was toasting both sides, it was very uneven a lot of times. not consistent quality. performance gets a 3/10

For an expensive toaster, I thought that it would be able to toast quickly and evenly. After trying this out a couple of times, we are not able to use this unit at our fast casual restaurant because it takes too long to heat up and toast bread. It takes at least 2 to 3 minutes to even get a light toast on our bread, and it doesn't do it evenly either. If we get multiple sandwich orders, our customers end up waiting too long for their food, so we decided not to use it anymore. Did not meet my expectations. Now, it's just sitting in storage.

I've been wanting to get a commercial quality toaster in my kitchen for years and finally did it. The first thing that surprised is how much quicker it toasts bread compared to a regular home toaster. The quality of toasting is also much better, more uniform. I could not be happier.

Great toaster for thick slices- we do a LOT of toast in this. the lever broke on one side early into its use, but we took it apart and were able to fix it and it' hasn't been a problem since (Seems like it was a weak weld)

This toaster seems pricey for such a simple appliance, but its been great for our coffee shop. We use it anywhere from 20-75 times a day, some days toasting bagels and english muffins back to back for long stretches of time. Holds up to lots of use, and cleans up nicely afterwards! Easy adjustment for darkness level, and has a simple switch for going from bread to bagels and back. Would definitely recommend for high traffic toasting!

Very disappointed, doesn't work well. Sometimes only on the highest level. Webstaurant. com refused return / exchange. Maybe because I am just a little customer, little business, who doesn't spend much, compare to others, who tries to make it and survive.

Thank you for the review, Peter. We do believe that your toaster is working correctly, since you mentioned in your emails that it’s toasting white and whole wheat bread fine but you’re having trouble with sourdough and rye bread. The amount of moisture in your bread greatly affects how well it will toast. In order for the caramelizing of the sugars in the toast to occur resulting in perfect browning, the moisture in the bread must be eliminated.
