We use crushed tomatoes as the base for home-jarred sauce. We’d bought - and liked - the Furmano’s in the past, but it was out of stock when we placed our most recent order. These are just as good and are also significantly less than supermarket canned tomatoes.

i was very pleased to see Furmano brand Crushed Tomatoes available at webstaurantstore -- it's one of the best tasting brands for tomato products! i make home cooked spaghetti sauce using canned crushed tomatoes, and usually in larger batches, then freeze in portions. so the #10 can of crushed tomatoes works well for me, is enough for a good sized batch of my spaghetti sauce. as always, a great price at webstaurantstore!!

these are a solid brand of tomato products. one thing to note is that Furmano's has different lines of products so I was sent a can with a different label and company name (although it is still owned by Furmanos). not a problem, just something to be aware of. that said, these tomatoes are great for all sort of sauces and gravies. i use tons of em

Furmano's tomatoes are better than grocery store canned tomatoes. They are pretty sweet and not super acidic. Also, they still are a little bit chunky which gives them a nice texture when making sauce.

There seems to be a lot of question about what "crushed tomatoes" are. If you are looking for something with tomatoes pieces or chunks in it, this is not for you. These tomatoes are crushed into a heavy sauce. Works great as sauce when we make large batches.

this can of furmanos crushed tomato is a great base for many different recipes they are great for chili, maranara etc. i have not found a bad application
