5" is smaller than it sounds and the raised edges make it even smaller. Planned on using these as side plates for appetizers but they too small. On the pus side I do like a melamine material. It is study and seems unbreakable while looking good at the same time.
So, these plates really cant be kept over heat, and they dont hold heat well, but for certain purposes their style outweighs any shortcomings. LOVE THEM! This particular style is a little too bulky for my taste, but definitely a durable plate
