CPLA Construction
An ideal alternative to traditional, petroleum-based plastic utensils, this knife is BPI certified and made of CPLA, a plant- and chalk-based plastic that's formed with renewable resources to minimize environmental impact upon disposal. CPLA (crystalized PLA) is stronger and can withstand higher temperatures than standard PLA, up to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, resulting in a sturdier utensil.
Compostable
This knife also meets the standards for compostability to ensure easy disposal at commercial composting facilities when your customers have finished using it. The word "compostable" is even printed on the PLA wrapper of this utensil so guests can recognize your eco-friendly choices.
