Carnival King PM50R Royalty Series 12 oz. Red Commercial Popcorn Machine / Popper - 120V

This machine looks nice, and seems fairly well built. We were lured in by an exceptional price for the size of the kettle, versus the competitor brands. Unfortunately, this popper is slow to heat up and the kettle cannot handle the volume advertised. We consistently have problems with popcorn binding up inside the kettle and burning. The kettle walls and cover are insufficiently designed to evacuate the popcorn. The motor for rotation is also not strong enough, and once the binding begins the cattle will be getting to rock back-and-forth in the case as the gears lock up. We spent significantly more money to buy a different popper from another brand and are incredibly impressed by the differences in the machine. We should never of bought this Carnival King junker.

We were excited about this purchase, as popcorn is a crowd favorite in our venue, but within 6 months the heating element stopped working— coincidentally right before the warranty expired. We emailed Webstaurant hoping to receive help and/or replacement, but have not heard back after a month. So we've missed our opportunity based on warranty. Save your money or invest in another brand.

After all it was only 2 bad reviews? This machine is a disappointment from the moment it is removed from the box. A couple small bolts & nuts fall from the packaging while setting on a granite counter to realize the machine due to its incredibly poor-quality construction is bent in one corner. The bolts belong to a door hinge & the metal plate revealed itself after a couple failed batches of popcorn later. I used a 10oz. popcorn kit & yet still too much for this 12 oz. kettle to handle. Yes, it actually begins the popping, stirrer gets stuck along with popcorn not coming out the top of the kettle. The popcorn had to be scraped out with a spoon but by the time that is achieved the batch is partially burnt. This product is the worst! We've purchased many items from Webstrauntstore for use at church and have been very satisfied, but this is garbage. We had an 8 oz CK popper and it worked great so decided to upgrade to increase volume, but can't get it to work at all. We end up with lines of people waiting for popcorn, and then haul out the trusty old 8 oz machine. We've replaced parts and tried and tried again, but it's just not worth the frustration or the money!

We have used this machine 2 times. Both times the people cleaning it were cut when simply wiping it out. Very sharp edges. In addition, we purchased 2 12 oz machines at the same time. In this machine, the popcorn stuck in the machine so bad we were chiseling it out almost like breaking ice up in order to get it out. We are considering returning it, but appears we can only do so if we haven't actually used it yet? Very extremely disappointed that our volunteer non-profit spent a lot for this machine. Based on reviews it appears you should probably quit even offering this for sale.

This product is the second worst product we have ever purchased from Webstaurant and I thought the last one we bought before this was the worst (the one with the turn knob handle that kept stripping threads). Paint chipping after 3 months but since it was under the platform and where the tray was, I wasn't worried about it. We have to fight to dump the kettle because the gear gets stuck all the time, due to heat, and I have to use an oven mitt to push the gear stick out in order to dump it. Finally, now after only 8 months of use in the last 13 months (we're seasonal - spring & fall) , it has stopped heating. Of couse the warranty has expired on this. Purchasing an item priced this way this should be asking if I want warranty when I ADD IT TO the cart and purchase it, NOT BEFORE I add it to the cart. Other retailers asks if you want warranty when you add to the cart.
