Butterfly pea flowers are native to Southeast Asia and have been prized in the region's culinary tradition for centuries due to their amazing color. When steeped in hot water, butterfly pea flowers produce a brilliant blue tea. This tea has seemingly-magical color changing abilities! By adding citrus or other acidic ingredients to the tea, you can change its color from blue to purple or even pink depending on how much citrus you add. Butterfly pea flower tea is caffeine-free and has a mild, earthy flavor somewhat similar to green tea. It can be served on its own or used to add color to other beverages. Add a splash to lemonade to create a beautiful purple beverage!

The loose leaf format of this product allows you to brew the freshest, most colorful teas for your customers to enjoy! To use, boil 3 to 4 cups of water, then remove from heat and add 3 or 4 butterfly pea flowers. Cover and allow the flowers to steep for 5 to 10 minutes or until the tea has reached your desired shade of blue. Filter out the flowers with a cloth or mesh, then allow to cool to 150 degrees Fahrenheit before serving or transferring to a tea warmer. This bulk supply of tea leaves is sure to keep your establishment in good supply! Each bag of tea will yield approximately (106) 8 fl. oz. servings of hot or iced tea, depending on the strength you brew your tea. For freshness, it's recommended to serve this tea within 4 hours of preparing.

7 fl. oz. prepared Bossen butterfly pea flower tea
4 tbsp. Bossen non-dairy creamer
1 fl. oz. Bossen fructose or cane sugar syrup or 1.5 fl. oz. Bossen golden cane sugar syrup
A squeeze of lemon (if desired)

Combine tea, non-dairy creamer, fructose / golden cane sugar syrup, and optional lemon in a 24 oz. shaker cup and stir thoroughly. Top off shaker or cup with ice and shake. Add in your favorite bubble tea toppings & serve!
