I want to give this a good review, but I can’t. I ordered six of these. They are breaking as fast as I give them out. I’ve figured out what is going on with them, and it's that we are a little rough with them. When you drop it, the battery will displace from its mounting. The other bad part about these is that when they are new out of the packaging, there are temperature differences of as much as 3.5 degrees between them. That would be fine except they aren’t calibratable. Next time, I will spend more on Cooper Atkins.

Love the rubber boot. My last thermometer met a bad end bumping against the side of a roasting pan. Displays in Celsius and Fahrenheit, gives a quick read and it’s not as heavy as you’d think with the addition of the protective boot.
