Avantco SS-1F-2-HC 29" Stainless Steel Solid Half Door Reach-In Freezer

Do not buy this freezer! The one that I initially purchased had the doors that would make a horrible high pitch sound when you would close them. Manufacturer decided to send me a new one. Couple of months later, the second freezer I received is loosing cold air somewhere, as it can not hold set temperature for more than 5 minutes. I contacted Ready kitchen warranty for my warranty claim - it takes them 7 days just to answer to an email. Horrible customer service!

Please do your homework do not order this, we are a pizza shop that has been open for 6 months and the freezer is already broken. They have now had a tech come out 3 times and still not fixed. Lost all my frozen product. Not haopy at all

We purchased this freezer the first of the year along with a refrigerator and stove. The compressor has already gone out. (less than 6 months) To make it even worse the warranty company they use is worthless. I filed a claim Mnday August 8 and was told it may take 2 weeks to get a service tech out. A company has not yet even responded to the request. This is unreal. I could understand if I could still use the freezer but it is not keeping anything frozen and has temperatures ranging from 15-33 degrees. Please beware before you purchase from this company. The choice of a warranty company is terrible. The warranty company is Ready Kitchen Warranty. It may be wise to pay a little more from another company if you can get better warranty service.

Stay away from this Junk. Avantco is Junk. I bought a lot of Avancco refrigeration because it's cheap but after 1 year they all break down. Never ever buying Avacntco again

If I could rate this negative stars I would. I've had it for 2 years and, just as the refrigerator, they both have a leak and won't hold temperature. They're total junk, and Avantco customer service is completely worthless. Don't waste your money or frustration.

was shipped with a huge dent in the top of it and the compressor made a sound. It has worked wonderfully for us and have no problems at all with it

Great freezer and looks amazing, except the dent. They did give me a discount for the dent. Holds temp perfect and holds a lot of product.

This unit came in inoperable. We called for service. They came out and adjusted some settings and it worked for a couple of weeks until it completely went out while full of product. The warranty company has been hard to get in touch with and their lead time is incredibly inconvenient. Webstaurant doesn't cover the spoilage, so it's a complete loss for us during an already challenging time. It's also out primary freezer so we're scrambling to correct for not having it. I don't recommend this product after 20 years of product purchases, this one has been the worst overall due to the lack of actual warranty and the two companies that aren't effectively handling the repair.

I bought it 2yr 6month ... gas leak. i called warranty 2yr only covers commpressor. which.. i have to repair(cost parts& labor expensive) do not buy...

I bought my first Avantco 2 door freezer in 2016. In 2018 I purchased this model freezer (29") and a matching refrigerator. All three units have run well. I was about to order another single door freezer and saw multiple negative reviews. What gives? It seems like a major shift in reviews between 2018 and 2021. Refrigeration needs to be reliable.

We had some major issues with this freezer when we first got it. After plugging it in the first time, it wouldn't drop below 60F, so the service tech came and found that a pipe was pinched, and he replaced it. Then it dropped down to 15F for a day and then went back up to 60F. The tech came back out and found that there was a leak. After that was fixed, it was and has been working properly. It was just a bit annoying that we weren't able to use the freezer for almost 3 weeks waiting for parts and the service tech to come out.

I bought this to replace an old freezer that was no longer working. It is very nice and very spacious. I am able to store a variety of meats with no issue.

Damaged

Delivered in great condition. We had to lower the temp by 2 degrees to get to the proper cold temp. Looks and works great. Suggestion; Buy the extended warranty just in case.

Like everyone else I have to say save your money and DO NOT buy an Avantco freezer. They are just not made to last. Sadly ours was in house less than 6 months before it quit working. The repairman was unable to get the needed parts. We waited over 6 months for parts. Fortunately I had the foresight to purchase a Turbo air as soon as the Avantco broke down. the Turbo air has been wonderful.

Excellent quality. Make sure you are aware that is vacuum seals shut after you open, otherwise you will have a hard time opening it after. Just wait thirty seconds.
